"Update Music" festival // Novemner, 2, 2003 // "Red Club" (ΡΟα)

The festival gathered Live Journal users from St. Petersburg and Moscow and other electronic music lovers. In all there were about 200 people.

Participants (in the same order as they performed on stage):

Unicode A project from Lomonosov. Performed beautiful, detailed, radiant, in all ways pleasant, melodic IDM.

Booka Dehuk — A 56 stuff resident, who performs seldomly, played his fresh tracks: nice and tuneful, cosmic fairy tales for real robots.

KLUtCh (Cheburec Records, SPb) — KLUtCh's music is technological, intellectual and, on occasion, even radical. It is a unique combination of ultra-fast breaks and bright, sometimes obtrusive melodies that are given to the listener in most unexpected solutions. The music he played on the festival was rather heavy.

Aienn (Moscow, Zvezda Rec.) — the most mysterious participant of the festival, whose arrival was greatly anticipated. It was his first public performance. Despite the short duration of the performance (about 20 minutes) it was one of the most memorable.

Jeune homme — master of electronic lullabies. Balancing between ambient, IDM, lyrical, but sometimes subtly evil lullabies and abstract electronic, he was bringing into the world his childhood feelings, no matter if it was his fear or tactile delight.

Yellowhead, as usual, was screaming in the microphone, jumping, playing on cans with pencils and even trying to sing.

The festival was organized in cooperation with Experiment.Ru
